Frenchie Davis Is A Soldier Of Love In Fierce New Video

Frenchie Davis, who first came to fame (and later infamy) as a disqualified contestant on Season 2 of "American Idol," then got a reprieve courtesy of coach Christina Aguilera on Season 1 of "The Voice," is getting yet another deserved chance as a pop diva with her fiercer-than-Sasha new dancefloor anthem, "Love's Got A Hold On Me." The '90s-reminiscent, Hi-NRG club banger is the lead single from her new album out later this year, and judging from its sound, I seriously think this woman could be the new Martha Wash, Gloria Gaynor, or Donna Summer.

Yes, look up "diva" in the dictionary, and you'll no doubt see a photo of Frenchie's bald head in all its gleaming glory. Do a Yahoo! Search for "fierce," and you should be directed right away to Frenchie's Mad Maxian "Love's Got A Hold On Me" music video, which fiercely features Madame Davis cavorting in the sun-scorched desert with an army of leather-sheathed, warpainted, shirtless male dancers.

"Love's Got A Hold On Me" is available on iTunes now, while Frenchie's studio album and a special Christmas disc are both scheduled for a fall 2012 release. Go Frenchie!
