OK, so last night Randy Jackson told Brooke White that she "didn't really bring anything new" to the '80s song she covered, Pat Benatar's "Love Is A Battlefield."

Um, if he considers stripping an electricified new-wave rocker down to a near-a cappella arrangement, singing it in a slowed-down tempo, and pretty much turning it into a Joan Baez folkie ballad "not bringing anything new" to it, well then, sure. I guess he's right...

Oh, come on, dawg! Randy usually makes sense (when he's not confusing INXS with Simple Minds, that is), but that comment last night brought the letters "W," "T," and "F" to my mind, precisely in that order.
