Casey Abrams may the new "American Idol" buzz singer of Season 10, but let's not forget Season 9's Casey James, one of 2010's few standouts (his "Jealous Guy" performance was my favorite of all of last year) and a recent signing to Sony Nashville. With an upcoming album and a plum slot opening for country heavyweights Sugarland and Little Big Town on tour, Casey the J is creating a big buzz for himself right now...and this rate he may even outsell Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze in the long run. We all know country artists seem to be the only artists selling huge amounts of records nowadays.

Casey recently debuted his new original "I Just Like To Drive" on tour, and if it's an indication of what his debut album will sound like, I'm impressed and itching to hear more. A Southern-fried blooze-rocker that's a little bit ZZ Top, a little bit Kenny Wayne Shepherd, a little bit Black Keys, and a whole lotta awesome, the song is clearly a real crowd-pleaser in concert...and it'll be fun to hear the recorded version, with Casey's searing guitar licks front and center.

What do you think of Casey's new song?
