Last night, "The X Factor" Season 3 premiered with a handful of promising contenders and a refreshing lack of emphasis on superstar judges. The ratings were less than stellar (they were in fact an all-time series low; ouch), but there may still be hope for the show. The fact that my hard-to-please "The Day After" co-host, Matt Whitfield, didn't hate the premiere is a good sign.
Today, Matt and I discuss our overall impressions of last night's kickoff show, offer our opinions on the contestants who made it through, and dish a bit about the "scandals" surrounding two auditioners with undisclosed professional pasts. Feel free to post your own comments, concerns, and conspiracy theories on the message board below!
