‘X Factor U.K.’ Sensation Rebecca Ferguson Goes For The Gold At Unique London Olympics Performance

First runner-up Rebecca Ferguson is the latest rising star to emerge from Season 7 of "The X Factor U.K.," the same stellar season that spawned brooding electro singer Aiden Grimshaw and pond-crossing breakout pop stars Cher Lloyd and One Direction. The Britsoul sensation's critically heralded debut album, Heaven, recently came out in the U.S., and this week--with all of the world's eyes riveted on her native England as the London Olympics kick off--Rebecca delivered a winning performance at the P&G Family Home, a home-away-from-home haven established for athletes and their families during the Games as part of its "Thank You Mom" campaign.

Yahoo!'s Team Mom was there to capture the special private event, at which it's safe to say Rebecca was really going for the gold:

That same night, Rebecca sat down with Team Mom to discuss her music, her excitement over the Olympics coming to her country, her love for her own mom, and her dream of enjoying some Stateside success of her own in the near future. Team Rebecca for the win!
