Wait, what? Hard-partying connoisseur Andrew WK has been named the face of feminine products company Playtex's new Fresh + Sexy wipes. Because nothing says so fresh and so clean like the long-haired, flailing, sweaty man who's most recognizable when covered in blood. (*Gasp* is that why Playtex thought of him?)

But seriously, this is a real thing.

Playtex released a statement this week announcing the weird-but-actually-awesome choice of brand ambassador, explaining that:

“This exciting new product required the help of someone who could embody the brand's playful yet bold campaign; someone who could party hard, but still be clean when it counted. Andrew W.K. is that someone and we are thrilled to have him on board with us for Fresh + Sexy Wipes.”

We get it, it's not easy to market a product that's primed to replace Summer's Eve at the butt of jokes (no pun intended). So hiring Andrew WK--the dude people expect to do absolutely anything--is actually the perfect, if not only face for these wipes. Partying hard certainly takes a toll on anyone's nethers, lady or gentleman, so a quick refresher is always a welcomed treat. Not just for yourself, but for that special someone; who is probably also drunk like you are.

WK said in the statement:

“Whether you just finished rocking a packed club or have an intimate encounter after a busy day, this product will make couples feel brand new. Fresh + Sexy Wipes were specially designed to help couples feel confidently clean, before and after they engage in sexual activity!”

When it's time to wipe, we will always wipe hard!

WK and Playtex are making an appearance at the upcoming SXSW music extravaganza in Austin, TX where Yahoo! will be hitting up all the best film, interactive, and music events. Like the million other parties there, there will be free stuff and a live music, including a performance from Andrew WK. But what's going to be interesting is the proposed "one-of-a-kind confessional booth". Party-goers loosened up from the free bar will be encouraged to share stories where these fancy new crotch wipes could have been used. I'm looking forward to see the internet marketing video that comes out of that.

So take it from Andrew WK: party hard, wipe your junk down, then party hard again. Such is the circle of life.
