Bruno Mars to Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show: Reports
He may feel locked out of heaven, but the NFL appears to be offering Bruno Mars something even better than going through the pearly gates.
The Grammy winner will be performing in the Super Bowl halftime show, a source close to the NFL's entertainment plans told the Associated Press on Saturday.
"Omg! Insider" is hearing similar reports, while Yahoo Music was given the heads up on Friday to anticipate big music news out of the NFL this weekend. In other words, expect an official announcement to come on Sunday.

If confirmed, the 27-year-old Hawaiian joins an incredibly esteemed list of previous performers, including last year's impressive showing from Beyoncé, as well as Prince, Madonna, The Who, and Bruce Springsteen.
Despite recently taking home two MTV Video Music Awards, Mars, who was born Peter Gene Hernandez, hasn't had a great year so far. His mother passed away in June of a brain aneurysm at the young age of 55.
In addition to the "Grenade" singer, there is one other big star we can confirm at this year's football season finale: Mother Nature. Super Bowl XLVIII is slated for February 2, 2014, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just miles outside of New York City, which means cold weather and the threat of snowstorms at that time of year.
Did we mention that MetLife Stadium is an open-air venue?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell recently noted that there has been "more buzz around this Super Bowl than any Super Bowl in its history."
Since that statement came before the League landed a "Treasure" like Mars, we're guessing that was more "brrrs" than buzz.
