1990 Best New Artist Grammy-winners Milli Vanilli--who had to give back their Grammy statuette after it was discovered that they hadn't done any actual singing on their debut album--remain one of the darkest cautionary tales in Grammy history. While one-half of Milli Vanilli, Fab Morvan, managed to carry on and reinvent himself after the scandal (his current project is the electronic duo Fabulous Addiction), his bandmate Rob Pilatus was less emotionally equipped to handle the hateful public backlash, and he eventually died of a tragic drug overdose in 1998, only months after Milli Vanilli's highly rated VH1 "Behind The Music" special aired.
In this rare and frank new interview shot in Amsterdam, Fab Morvan talks about the scandal, losing his friend, and how he feels about being such an unusual part of Grammy history.
