It's all part of the zany premise of the song "Go Kindergarten," a satire about the power stage performers have over their fans. The lyrics include the lines: "Build a school, burn it down/Get on the floor and do it now/ f--k a house, eat a shoe/All because we told you to…The party’s here and you can’t escape/so just do everything that we say."
"Go Kindergarten" is the latest Wack Wednesday video the Lonely Island have released on YouTube. Past clips have included "Spring Break Anthem" (featuring cameos by Zack Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Edward Norton and James Franco), 'Diaper Money," and "Semicolon" (featuring Solange).
The debut single from the group's new disc The Wack Album, "YOLO," co-stars Maroon Five's Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar and has accrued over 42 million YouTube views in just four months.
The Lonely Island, composed of former "Saturday Night Live" actors and writers Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, launched in 2005 on "SNL" with a series of immensely popular shorts, including the single "Lazy Sunday." Their 2009 debut album Incredibad, included the Emmy-winning "D--k in a Box" featuring Justin Timberlake, who has appeared on each of the group's three albums; Timberlake duets with Lady Gaga on The Wack Album song "3-Way (The Golden Rule)."
To date, the Lonely Island has garnered over 1.24 billion views on their YouTube channel. And that figure's going up by the day.
