Stop The Presses!

It’s Official: Babies Love Florence + The Machine

Stop The Presses!

Attention: harried parents. Next time your little one is acting up, reach not for those Barney or Yo Gabba Gabba DVDs. Just pop in British buzz band Florence + The Machine's debut album, Lungs, instead, and Junior should stop crying his own lungs out in no time.

Want evidence that the appeal of Flo's thinking-woman's music has broadened beyond grown-up hipsters, wine-sipping tastemakers, and fans of Eat Pray Love movie trailers? Well, simply check out baby Embry in the viral video below. The moment he hears the lilting strains of plucked harp strings in Florence's hit "Dog Days Are Over," he calms right down...and just wait until the 30-second mark, when the song really kicks in and he starts dancing like that computer-animated baby from "Ally McBeal":

The only problem? As evidenced by the 2:10 mark in this clip, babies get pretty cranky when "Dog Days" ends. So you better have this song on repeat, if you want to avoid carseat tantrums and keep the good baby vibes Flo-ing.
