Thebad boy in Justin Bieber is coming out. Last week, he broke bad girl Lady Gaga'sYouTube video stream record. This week, he was on the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation playing atroubled teen in his dramatic acting debut.

 

Bieber'scharacter, Joshua McCann, "is faced with a terrible decision regarding his onlybrother -- a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with theCSIs," according to a statement on the website for the CBSshow.

Theepisode will air September 23, and is just the "beginning of an emotionalstory" that will resurface later in the series, the statement added.

Bieberjoked about his role, saying, "I told you I was a BAD MAN!!" on his Twitter page. He also posted apicture of himself wearing a jail jumpsuit and being escorted into a building.

"Amazingday," he added. "Excited for you guys to watch it...and yes I did prank (an executive producer) ofthe show...somebody got locked in the closet. ;)"

TheCSI executive producers Carol Mendelsohn, Don McGill and Anthony Zuiker are eager toshowcase Bieber in new light. "We're looking forward to Justin's dramatic starturn, not only in the premiere, but in a continuing seasonal arc," they said in a joint statement.

Lastyear, fellow squeaky-clean pop star Taylor Swift also had a chance to show herrebellious side on CSI, playing ateen that was killed by her mother. Otherwise, when other teen musicpersonalities Justin Timberlake, JoJo, Mandy Moore, Brandy, and even Bieber'smentor Usher broke into acting, they took on more lighthearted roles.
