The new video, for the second single from "The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2," finds the pop icon as one-half of a combative couple opposite Elvis Presley's granddaughter, actress-model Riley Keough.
Keough is a rising star with a handful of screen credits. She hung with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart (who has since become one of Keough's buddies) in "The Runaways," the 2010 biopic about the all-girl rock group of the same name; played Orlando Bloom's young kidney patient in "The Good Doctor"; and doffed her clothes as a bad girl in "Magic Mike," working alongside Alex Pettyfer to whom she became engaged, but later broke things off.
The daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and her first husband, musician Danny Keough, the 24-year-old Riley recently made headlines for being romantically linked to "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson. However, Lisa Marie has shot down the speculation, saying that her daughter wouldn't do that because she and Pattinson's ex, Stewart, "are like best friends."
But Keough is playing anything but nice as the femme fatale in "TKO."
Sure, things start off peacefully enough as Keough and Timberlake's characters lounge around in an upscale apartment, although their sour expressions hint that there may be trouble in paradise. Things quickly take a turn for the worse, and we see Timberlake being dragged through the dirt through the desert at high speed while tied to the back of a truck. We'll give you three guesses as to who's behind the wheel.
J.T.'s girl is going full speed ahead, looking angry and unremorseful as she pounds the dashboard. The scene cuts to Timberlake doubling over in pain as if he's been punched in the gut (apparently being dragged behind a car isn't painful enough). This extends the boxing metaphor from the song's title (TKO means "technical knockout" in boxing parlance) and lyrics, "Tried to go below the belt, through my chest, perfect hit to the dome, dammit babe/this ain't the girl I used to know."
We then see flashbacks of Timberlake and Keough heating things up in the kitchen, but apparently it was just a ploy to get J.T. to let his guard down, because when his head is turned, his girl knocks him out with a frying pan.
We won't give everything away about the seven-minute video clip, which was directed by former skater Ryan Reichenfeld. Let's just say things don't end well. As her granddad might say, Riley is taking care of business.
See for yourself.
