It seems that One Direction fans get very excited to see the guys all dressed up – but probably not in the way you would think. In the video for their brand new single, "Best Song Ever," Liam, Zayn and the gang don hilarious costumes, ranging from a balding studio executive to an effeminate choreographer.

The video, which shows off the 1D boys' pretty impressive acting chops, has broken all records on VEVO, garnering 10.9 million views in the 24 hours following its Monday premiere. This tops the record Miley Cyrus set recently with her twerk-tastic video for "We Can't Stop."

It's great to see the guys not taking themselves too seriously in the clip, with Leeroy the choreographer (Liam Payne) suggesting the band do pirouettes and splits, while marketing guy Marcel (Harry Styles) tries to convince the band to wear matching purple jumpsuits and other fashion disasters. They also do some serious booty shaking in the video, which was directed by Ben Winston.

One Direction is currently in the midst of a world tour, and the boys are gearing up for the release of their movie This Is Us on August 30. "Best Song Ever" is the lead single from their forthcoming third album. Could this be the Best Video Ever? 1D fans sure seem to think so.
