Pop singer Rihanna is already the face (and body) of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans, so why not hand the singer a sketch pad? Following her sizzling campaign for the fashion brand, Rihanna has designed a capsule collection for their more casual, ready-to-wear lines. So far the pieces look fairly benign, considering the 23-year-old singer's penchant for overtly sensual, skin-baring outfits—her "S&M" video anyone? Then again, Armani isn't much into latex and bondage.

The simple range has an accessibly rock 'n' roll vibe that's not unlike Madonna and her daughter Lola's line "Material Girl" for Macy's. There will be two styles of jeans, a leather biker jacket, a canvas bag, and two T-shirts—one of which has a print of the singer's face. Other pieces, like a belt and bra and panty sets, will also be included in the line.

Emporio Armani Underwear generally ranges from about $15-$60, and Armani Jeans are about $185-$250, so we can assume the collection will be priced accordingly. Not the cheapest considering that Madonna's line is significantly more affordable, but then again, this is Armani, not Macy's.

I'm admittedly disappointed that Rihanna didn't try to emulate the style from her "We Found Love" video, which features some fantastic U.K. punk looks, acid-washed denim, bomber jackets, and lots of fun tights and garters. The styling in that video and on the single's sleeve art is the best I've seen from Rihanna yet.

Vogue is reporting that the Rihanna for Armani collection will be available at shops worldwide from mid-November (but isn't it past mid-November?), so hopefully it will be out any day now.
