Chris Brown was at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas performing his hit "Fine China," but all is not well in Breezy's camp, and it isn't because he went home empty-handed.

Sure, he lost Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Album to Rihanna of all people, but there are more serious matters to consider. TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating death threats against the singer after several were called into the office of his attorney, Mark Geragos.

Of course, Breezy has generated a lot of ill will over the years, recently upsetting his neighbors with over-the-top graffiti on his Hollywood Hills home. Then there was the parking lot beef with Frank Ocean; and the infamous incident a few years back when he viciously beat his on-and-off again girlfriend Rihanna, which made some Brown-haters for life.

But who would actually want Brown dead? That's what the LAPD is trying to find out.

As for Breezy, he's trying to stay positive. After his performance he tweeted, "Lil hoarse for the performance but it happens. Good sh*t otherwise."

He also seemed to find a kindred spirit in Justin Bieber, backing up the Bieb following his speech when he urged fans to take him seriously as an artist and ignore all the other "bull." Breezy tweeted, "Congrats @justinbieber. Focus and f**k the bullsh*t! Love ya boy!"
