Yahoo! On the Road

How to Download the Latest Yahoo! Mobile Apps: Flickr, Yahoo! Weather, Yahoo! Mail, and new Yahoo! app

A beautiful collaboration between two of Yahoo!’s new apps is now available in the Apple and Android markets. Just this past December an entirely new Flickr app for iPhone was released, and on April 18 the new Yahoo! Weather app was unveiled, bringing the best of Flickr’s photos and weather forecasts together in one app.

If that's enough good news, Flickr announced on May 20 that every user now gets one terabyte of photo storage. Upload photos on-the-go from your smart phone, or from your 18 megapixel camera, and you'll still have plenty of space to share images.

Flickr’s app also gives you a unique opportunity to follow along with Yahoo! On the Road, a summer concert series live-streaming on Yahoo!. Join On the Road’s Flickr group to see the latest photos from live performances, and get the chance to win tickets to an OTR event near you by just downloading an app.

And recent updates to the Yahoo! app offer an integrated, personalized experience for iOS and Android systems.

Have you given up on organizing your cluttered inbox? You don’t want to hastily delete each message, but you certainly don't want to read every single one of them. Worry no more -- the new Yahoo! Mail is now optimized for your tablet, and with just a few taps, you can easily tame your inbox.

Previously available for smartphones, Yahoo! Mail is now here for iPad and Android tablets. The large screen display allows plenty of room for photos and video alongside the inbox sidebar.

As for email blasts and spam, with one tap on the sender's name, you can view all messages from that sender and then file them under favorites, move them into a folder, or delete them. Pretty soon you’ll accomplish a feat you'd thought was impossible, going from 1,000-plus unread messages to zero.

With the latest update to the Yahoo! app, it has never been easier to access your personalized homepage on iOS and Android systems. On April 22, Yahoo! rolled out a new interface that gives you the option of seeing news articles in a beautiful visual display or in the usual list view.

A summary hovers over each article’s image, and you can scroll through news with the swipe of a finger. In January of this year, Yahoo! acquired the news app Summly from 17-year-old British entrepreneur Nick D’Aloisio.

The new Yahoo! mobile app update now employs the new technology to compile stories that matter to you. Keep or remove stories to your liking, and your Yahoo! experience will soon be more personalized than ever.
