Acoustic Devil Songs

Everyone loves a good song about the devil. After all, the mythical embodiment of evil incarnate has been fingered as the reason for whole genres of music. Was it not Satan that gave us the blues, rock & roll, jazz, heavy metal and hip hop? Okay, maybe not, but it's fun to think about musicians making deals with the devil in exchange for fame and fortune.

Things evil have a great appeal, most notably to teenagers who are especially vulnerable since they go through a rebellious phase and puberty at the same time. And since this demographic buys more records than any other you can find more songs about, inspired by, or that mention the devil than you could listen to in your lifetime.

For this playlist I wanted the subject of focus to be the devil, but I also wanted to bring it down a notch by eliminating the electric guitar. So all 24 tracks in this playlist feature acoustic instrumentation.
