Country Songs About Elvis

The king of rock and roll has had an undeniable impact on music across almost every popular genre of today. However, with his deep Memphis roots, country music has probably been the most influenced by Elvis Presley.

Elvis grew from a shy, stuttering, bullied kid in East Tupelo, Mississippi to one of the most popular and iconic figures in American music history. Still today, over 30 years after his death, Elvis has a fanbase that is beyond rabid.

This playlist looks at many different subgenres of country music. Including traditional and contemporary country, alt country and honky tonk. But every song in the list is either about, or inspired by Elvis Presley in some way.

So forget the sequins and capes of fat Elvis -- this homage to the king is more in tune with the wholesome Elvis who loved his mama dearly.
