Songs About Teachers

Teacher's have been all over the news lately with the protests over Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker's plan to close his state's budget gap in part by ending collective bargaining for public union employees, including teachers. As well as having them contribute more to their health insurance coverage. Wherever you stand on the issue, we can probably all agree that teachers are one of the most important jobs in any modern society. Musicians seem to agree with that sentiment for the most part considering how many teacher-inspired songs have been written and recorded. This playlist includes 15 songs about teachers. Some speak to their plight as under paid and under appreciated members of society, some use them as foils for teenage rebellion and some use them as objects of teenage sexual fantasy.
