Songs That Mention Jimi Hendrix

There is no rock & roll guitar player more iconic than Jimi Hendrix. It doesn't matter who you put up as a challenger, most rock fans can deliver a winning argument on why Jimi is #1. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine named him number one on their list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, which is as official as it probably gets. Jimi burned brightly and left an immense legacy -- it boggles the mind to think that he was only 27-years old when he died. His influence on guitar players would be impossible to measure, but you can hear his spirit running through the fingers of guitarists the world over. For this playlist I've selected a dozen songs that mention Jimi Hendrix directly in the song title, or in the lyrics.
