Top 10 Remade Greatest Hits

The Y! Music Playlist Blog

If you missed it, there were two big fashion news items from the Presidential inauguration. One was Michelle Obama's much-raved-about outfits, created by lesser-known fashion designers who have just had their careers launched by the first lady. The second was Aretha Franklin's massive cold weather bow-hat.

Although I have mixed feelings on the hat there is no denying that Ms. Franklin still has a set of pipes that can stop anyone dead in their tracks. Her moving rendition of "My Country Tis Of Thee" got me thinking about another cover song that she's performed perfectly. Namely, her version of Otis Redding's "Respect".

After a quick search I found a list of the world's top remade greatest hits over at the song list site Pop Culture Madness and guess what was #1?

This playlist includes the first 10 songs of the Pop Culture Madness list.

Which do you agree with and which do you think should have been in the top 10?
