After winning album of the year in 2011 “The Suburbs,” Arcade Fire are back with a new release scheduled for Oct. 29.
The Canadian alt rockers made the announcement via Twitter (in response to a fan) on Friday.
Arcade Fire have been holed up in a New York studio working with LCD Soundsystem mastermind/producer James Murphy on their fourth, untitled record.
“The Suburbs,” released by Merge Records, was nominated for three Grammys in 2011, beating out Eminem, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Lady Antebellum for album of the year.
The group is repped by Scott Rodger.
