The Avett Brothers Celebrate New Year's in North Carolina - Premiere

On stage, the Avett Brothers inject their Americana and folk-based tunes with pure, reckless emotion. And there's something about coming home for the holidays that brings out the best in that adrenalized stage show.

Continuing their festive tradition, the band will celebrate New Year's Eve with a North Carolina show -- this year, at Charlotte's Time Warner Cable Arena

"Time and time again, we've been welcomed home for the holidays," says Seth Avett. "And somehow, every time we find ourselves back in North Carolina on New Year's Eve, we end up fortunate enough to be in the middle of a celebration we'll never forget."

To get in the spirit, check out an exclusive performance of "Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise," filmed during last year's New Years show. The clip contrasts scenes of their country home life (chainsawed trees, galloping dobermen) with emphatic crowd sing-alongs.

The Avett Brothers' eighth studio album, Magpie and the Dandelion, is out October 15th on American Recordings.
