Britney Spears Becomes Ambassador for VH1's 'Save the Music'

Britney Spears is set to save music — specifically, as an ambassador for VH1's "Save the Music" program. The pop singer leads a 2014 class that also includes Hunter Hayes, Taye Diggs, Diane Birch and Cher Lloyd. The program raises money for music education programs in public elementary and middle schools across the country. Past ambassadors include Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Jason Mraz, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry.

The news comes as Spears preps for the release of her eighth studio album, Britney Jean, due out on November 29th. Not much is known as far as a tracklist, but she's released two singles: "Work Bitch" and "Perfume." She's also currently prepping a huge Las Vegas residency that starts on December 27th at Planet Hollywood. It's set to run through 2015.
