Dave Grohl and Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor have released their new collaboration "From Can to Can't" off Sound City – Real to Reel, the soundtrack to Grohl's upcoming documentary.
The slow-burning rocker, which premiered today on the BBC (listen to a radio rip at Antiquiet), also features Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and Scott Reeder of Kyuss; all except Reeder are set to play with the Sound City Players when they take the stage in Park City, Utah on January 18th to celebrate the Sundance premiere of Grohl's directorial debut.
Sound City – Real to Reel is slated for release on March 12th and is packed with collaborations like Grohl, Stevie Nicks, Taylor Hawkins and Rami Jaffee; Josh Homme, Chris Goss, Grohl and Alain Johannes; as well as the Nirvana-Paul McCartney track performed at the "12-12-12" Sandy Benefit, "Cut Me Some Slack." Sound City – which tells the story of the famed Van Nuys, California recording studio – will hit theaters on January 31st, with a digital release on February 1st.
