Kanye West has scored a recut version of the trailer for The Canyons, the new film written by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, directed by Paul Schrader and starring Lindsay Lohan and porn actor James Deen.
According to Pitchfork, West and his multimedia company, DONDA, reworked the trailer for the film in conjunction with editor Nate Brown and longtime musical musical collaborator Noah Goldstein.
The new trailer achieves a level of lasciviousness and darkness with dramatic keyboards, in contrast to triumphant tone of the original, which employed dreamy dubstep. The Canyons opens in theaters today and is also available on iTunes and on demand today. This article originally appeared on Rolling Stone: Kanye West Reworks 'The Canyons' Trailer
