"Voices Against Violence" is the group's new text-to-call drive, which connects participants to their respective congressional representative so that they can make their voice heard on gun control as the Senate debates new gun legislation this week.
Users who text "MYVOICE" to 877877 will be prompted for their ZIP codes. After replying, their phones will ring with a message from McCartney, after which they will be connected to the proper Senate office.
McCartney is one of many celebrities who have participated in the campaign, which has also included Alec Baldwin, Josh Groban, Mia Farrow, Gloria Estefan, KD Lang and more.
"We the people need to make our voices heard on this issue," the elder Bennett said in a statement. "This is a job for the people, not the politicians."Paul McCartney Records Message for 'Voices Against Violence'
