Premiere: Watch Nick Jonas' Intoxicating New Video For "Area Code"

The single is Nick's strongest offering to date.

Nick Jonas ascended new levels of musical independence this year. His self-titled album was led by hit singles "Jealous" and "Chains" while this year's "Levels" offered us the first glimpse at the singer's next solo album. Last month, Nick surprised fans on the night of his Made In America set by posting his latest song—"Area Code"—which drew undeniable comparisons to a Drake track.

Today, we have the exclusive premiere of the video for "Area Code." The monochromatic video features a heart-wrenched Nick strolling through the area code of an ex as a stark street scene and inverted lens set the inebriated mood. Nick's falsetto courses through the song's percussive veins, twisting around a spine of spectral R&B keys as Nick contemplates drunk-dialing his girl late night. It all makes for the singer's strongest, sleekest and most intoxicating offering to date. "Everytime I have a drink or two/Get it bad for you." Hear you, Nick. Watch the video above.
