It hasn't been a good couple of days for Jeff Probst.

A day after his daytime talk show was canceled, Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites opened to the series' lowest premiere ever, falling 23 percent to 9 million viewers and a 2.4 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. Lead-out CSI (9.1 million, 2.1) dropped three-tenths.

American Idol (13.4 million, 4.3) also had down night, slipping to its lowest demo rating since its first season in July 2002.
