Sam Smith Writing’s On The Wall Video Reveals New Spectre Footage

The official music video for Sam Smith’s ‘Spectre’ theme song was released over the weekend and, in between shots of the British soul singer crooning by the sea, there are snippets of previously unseen footage from the 24th James Bond film.

Watch it below.

Smith’s song, which we have to admit is starting to grow on us, made history by becoming the first Bond theme song in the franchise’s 50-year-plus life to hit the number one spot in the UK.

The new footage from ‘Spectre’, which hits UK cinemas on 26 October, seen in the pop promo leans heavily on the film’s romantic angles and features new shots of Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann.

We also see more from the film’s desert-set climax which we imagine will see Daniel Craig’s Bond facing off with Christoph Waltz’s Franz Oberhauser. We also see Bond crouched on the floor, struggling to contain his anger, suggesting that he’s set to lose someone else close to him in the film.

Along with Sam Smith’s new video, the final theatrical trailer for ‘Spectre’ has also been released
