Sinead O’Connor Posts Possible Suicide Note on Facebook

Sinead O’Connor allegedly posted a troubling note on Facebook over the Thanksgiving weekend, writing “I have taken an overdose” in a long post.

The emotional message appeared on her verified Facebook page early Sunday, though there is no way of telling if the musician actually penned the note. In it, she allegedly laments over a family battle, blasting a “horrific set of betrayals” on the part of her husband, children and more.

“The last two nights finished me off,” reads the post. “I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name .”

Dublin police, however, have apparently confirmed to TMZ that O’Connor is “safe and sound,” and is receiving medical attention. O’Connor has a history of posting alarming updates on her social media, and had posted a few in the past couple of days.

O’Connor has claimed that Irish folk musician Donal Lunny, the father of her youngest son, Shane, won’t let her see her son, among other troubles. O’Connor allegedly writes that she’s been “howling crying for weeks. And been told by them all to go f–k myself. I’m invisible. I don’t matter a shred to anyone.”

O’Connor is married to Barry Herridge and has four children, ranging in age from 9 to 28. A rep for the singer could not immediately be reached.
