With nine days to go until its official release date, Bruce Springsteen's upcoming new album, High Hopes, is now available for streaming online. The full 12-track LP was made available by CBS starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday night as part of a promotional tie-in with the network's legal drama, The Good Wife.

Three tracks from the album, "High Hopes," "Hunter of Invisible Game" and "The Ghost of Tom Joad," will feature in the show's January 12th episode, entitled "We, the Juries."

The album is Springsteen's 18th studio album and offers a mix of covers, newly recorded versions of previously released tracks and material that had been cut from earlier studio albums.

"This is the story of what he's not willing to put on albums because they don't fit," Springsteen's producer Ron Aniello recently told Rolling Stone. "They just didn't fit the particular story he was telling for each album. The first time I heard 'Hunter of Invisible Game' I thought, 'My God, this is one of your greats.' He went, 'Yeah, it just never quite fit.' That's the story of the record. So I'm not sure how fans are going to react, but it's a great Bruce record. It's a great rock & roll record. The fact they're older songs doesn't detract from the brilliance of the record."

"The best way to describe this record is that it's a bit of an anomaly," Springsteen told Rolling Stone last month. "But not much. I don't really work linearly like a lot of people do. . . The songs were relatively current and had a similar sound picture. I was interested in putting this material together in some form because it sounded like it all fit together."

The album features Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who filled in for Steven Van Zandt last year on Springsteen's Australian tour and ended up playing on eight High Hopes tracks. "I'm not a casual Bruce Springsteen fan," Morello told Rolling Stone. "I am a big Bruce Springsteen fan. It's a tremendous honor to be able to collaborate in that way and to be asked to keep lending my guitar to songs is something I would have never dared to dream."

Although High Hopes won't officially be released until January 14th, many fans were able to purchase the album last week due to an accidental early release on Amazon's mobile site.
