Video Premiere: Terry McDermott & Lotus Crush Record ‘This Time Tomorrow’ for Cancer Charity

Every week on The Voice Season 3, runner-up Terry McDermott sang his heart out and connected with millions of people. Now he’s using his gift to help the charity This Time Tomorrow, which provides financial support to individual families and organizations focused on cancer research, education, or advocacy.

A different artist records a new version of the benefit single “This Time Tomorrow,” written by This Time Tomorrow Foundation co-founder and president Cory Zimmerman, each year, and 2015’s featured TTT artist is McDermott’s band, Lotus Crush. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from Lotus Crush’s version, which the band premiered this past weekend at a Milwaukee gala hosted by C. Thomas Howell and Jeff Daniels, will go directly to families in need.

And Yahoo Music’s Reality Rocks is honored to premiere Lotus Crush’s “This Time Tomorrow” official music video, which showcases actual people Zimmerman’s foundation is working to help. At a time of year when we are all giving thanks and counting our blessings, a video and song like this hits close to home.

“This video was one of the hardest films I’ve ever done, from the emotional performance of Terry and the band, to going into the homes of eight people who are fighting cancer right now,“ says Zimmerman, who directed the video. "I’m blessed to have had this opportunity to inspire so many. This is the seventh version of the song. I wrote it back in 2001 and never did I think it would be impacting, inspiring, and helping so many people in so many ways. What Lotus Crush did with it is simply unbelievable.”
