"2 Guns,"which cost about $60 million to make, starring Mr. Washington and Mark Wahlberg, took in an estimated $27.4 million in North American movie theaters. On the set of Universal?s 2 Guns, Icelandic director Baltasar Kormakur left little doubt about who was in charge. On a whim, Kormakur decided to hang stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg upside down by their feet and unleash a raging bull on them. ?It wasn?t written that way in the script, so I kind of had to convince them to do this.? ?It wasn?t easy, but they went along with it. The film -- directed by Paul Schrader and written by Bret Easton Ellis -- is hoping to be a big draw on VOD; Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington action pic "2 Guns" enjoying solid business as it opens nationwide, while "Smurfs 2" battles family glut.
