Hundred of thousands of people took to the streets of Manhattan on Sunday for the New York City's Pride parade, an annual event commemorating the beginning of the modern gay rights movement. This year's parade, coming less than a week after a pair of landmark Supreme Court rulings on same-sex marriage expanded gay rights, took on added significance.
