Man convicted of killing NY rabbi freed

Werzberger was killed in 1990 during a botched diamond robbery attempt and a man was convicted and sent to prison. On Thursday, March 21, 2013, the murder conviction of David Ranta, 58, was vacated by a Brooklyn judge based on a review that determined Ranta probably did not kill Werzberger and concluded detectives had mishandled aspects of the investigation.
