Muslim Brotherhood Breaking News: Islamists Urge Egyptians to Rise Against Army; Freedom and Justice Party Calls for International Help
Wochit
The Muslim Brotherhood's political arm is calling on Egyptians to rise up against the army after clashes between troops and supporters left 40 people killed. The Freedom and Justice party also called on the international community to stop what it called the massacres in Egypt. Egyptian soldiers and police clashed with Islamists protesting the military's ouster of the president in bloodshed that claimed at least 40 lives, and plunged the divided country deeper into crisis with calls by the Muslim Brotherhood's political party for all-out rebellion against the army. Feuding erupted within Egypt's new leadership as secular and liberal factions wrangled with ultraconservative Islamists who rejected their choice for prime minister, stalling the formation of a new government after the military's ouster of President Mohammed Morsi.
