Eliot Spitzer began his rise on the national political scene in 1998 when he was elected New York attorney general.  After a high profile crusade against Wall Street, Spitzer was elected governor in 2006 but was forced to resign 14 months later amid revelations  he had patronized a prostitution service. After stints as a journalist and talk show host, Spitzer is staging a political comeback this year with a run for New York state comptroller. Here's a look back.
